The Nicodemus Vegan In Me With Egg On Face

I decided to abstain from consuming animal products
I said cheerio to the consumption of meat and eggs,
dairy products and all animal-derived ingredients,
out through the window I flung my expensive item,
that leather jacket I had bought on credit, damn!
it was gone, I sought to lead a cruelty-free vegan
lifestyle, I sought to live a life that excluded them,
I mean all the forms of exploitation of, and cruelty
to animals for food or clothing, it was my DECREE!
I was going around in my neighborhood trumpeting it,
here comes a vegetarian, no egg or meat, not even a bit!
then suddenly I drifted out of my slumber, and thought
about the eggy bread l had previously, what a delight!
