Normality Returns

I've been up and down to
The heights of heaven and
The depths of hell but now
At last I sit, normality
Returning as my mind
Slowly regains focus away
From the ongoing battle
Of everyday survival and
Poetry recitals.

The highs saw me flying
Up among the clouds and
The lows saw me crawling
In my own little gutter
Where fear and panic often
Gripped but now at last
That feeling has gone
As, at last, normality
Returns.
