Warning

poem

I set my foot to a strange path one day
It was long and I lost my way.
I found a glade cool and sweet
and a mountain cool stream in which to heal my feet.
The mistress of this wonderous place
caught me napping and kissed my face.
I awoke and she demanded I stay
I had no choice for I'd lost my way.
You find these words carved in rock
of this warning I beg you take stock:
'Know your path or lose your heart.'
