Honey

"Spring's oldest tree invented honey..."

Honey

Spring's oldest tree invented honey
gathered bees between
its serene silver leaf fingers
and prevailed on vast colonies as their
ancient golden hair gathered.

A bees's beloved temple,
with hymns sweet
in a nymph's language.

The word trembling
crystalline green
in time forest flutters
verses and phrases
with a door ajar for sound rhymes
perfumed alliterated aroma
in which naked birds bathe
and roses rise to cleave
honey love cave bees crave.
