Bodies of Water

"...Only the lucky and foolish survive your embrace..."

Bodies of Water

Pacific Ocean,
cold, harsh, uncaring.
Only the lucky and foolish
survive your embrace.
How often did you
pull me to you as I walked
along your shore?
How often did you
lure me to your depths,
and try to keep me under?
Perhaps you sensed
I'm a body of water,
a bubble begging to be burst.
