Haunting Is Harder Than You Think

A blank page is lucky,
waiting for words
like a ghost's sheet looks
for eye holes,
and some poems are children
playing on Halloween,
while others are corpses
walking around, in spite of certainties,
such as death, gravity, inflation,
but most are somewhere in between.
