Penguins

"...I honestly can't tell you why..."

Penguins

They have wings but cannot fly,
I honestly can't tell you why.
Tho' I might guess that layer of fat,
Keeps them warm and that is that.
Graceful gliding through the sea,
Water too cold for you or me.
Their mating rituals are most dramatic,
Read about it in National Geographic.
They often mate for their whole life,
But either one can be the wife.
You'll often see them in a zoo,
Or a theme park with dolphins too.
They may have their moods but I wouldn't fret over it,
Unless they were played by Burgess Meredith.
