In a small town church congregation, you can run but you cannot hide. Sully does not want to meet John. John does not want to meet Sully. Mary LeMay traps them in the church where they have to at least pretend to be nice to each other. Well, mostly.
Rho Five might call it folly to try to understand the minds of gods. But 27 is a professional translator, and deciphering aliens is what she does. Not that the tentacled Waymakers or the plant-like Snap make it easy on her.

Vol. 3 - Land of the Bizarre - Part 1 <br> The ship is held together by duct tape and bubble gum. The doctor is worse. Why worry about joining a band of criminals when this rattrap is about to blow anyway? A dose of bad medicine puts Alex in the lead in the race to critical systems failure.
The gods may have taken him, but Rho Five's first day in the heavens isn't exactly what he expected. Speaking of not exactly what's expected, resident angel 27 finds out what her big surprise is. The gods must be crazy.
Nine years is a long time to keep hope alive, but Rho Five's faith is finally rewarded when the gods return. Finally, everything is going to change. Meanwhile, 27 is just trying to stick to the daily routine, but there's always some twit trying to change things for the better. Can't people leave well enough alone?
Every action that we make contributes to the edifice that we become, like bricks building a foundation or tower. Sully dreams of houses unfinished, and houses with pink walls, and of a heart that has to answer to no one.
Mark faces his worst fears, and sees what True Love really is.
Vol. 2 - Mistaken Identity - Part 2 <br> While Alex and Katlyn struggle during their interrogation with Sela, they try to come up with some story to fit their lack of information without ending up getting themselves killed.
Autumn leaves, spring blooms; summer's greens and snow scattered all about -- marble and granite and flagstone: images of remembering the timeless Dead.
Mark passes through a *lot* of territory, really quickly. He meets an old friend of the family for the first time.
Vol. 2 - Mistaken Identity - Part 1 <br> After a successful escape from the prison ship, Alex and Katlyn are held aboard the escapee's ship, still shrouded in darkness. They are about to find out just what they've gotten themselves into.
Psi Two's heresies have proven to be truths as she unlocks the secrets of the Fire Runes and summons the gods of old before Rho Five's eyes. What should have made them heroes and provided salvation for their people ends in damnation and disgrace instead.
"It was the worst year that we could ever remember," Sully would say in later days. "By the end of the summer we were nearly afraid to let anyone we loved out of our sight." The death of her brother-in-law makes Sully reexamine her own life, and gives her the resolve to lay some ghosts to rest.
Mark, at the crossroads, gets a push in the right direction from some old nut.
Vol. 1 - Swept Away - Part 5 <br> Following their interrogations, Alex and Katlyn find themselves aboard a transport vessel--destination Vool, prison moon extraordinaire. On the ship they meet a mysterious stranger that will change everything.
