What's up next? Chilly winter days (unless you're in the Southern Hemisphere, of course) and post-holiday blues, perhaps. What do you need when you're curled up on the couch wondering if you're going to be anyone's valentine or when the ground outside will thaw enough to plant spring flowers? Why, FOOD, of course!
This January 18, the Piker Press will be all about food. Food fiction, food poems, food photos. Fiction should be 1000 - 3000 words, recipes should include a bit of background about them and a picture (so that readers know what to expect if they try to make the food.) Food memoirs are good, too.
But let's not be too limiting; what if there's a story about a gourmand, a glutton, or even kitchen implements? If something can sidle up to a table, or sit upon one, the words submitted about it are welcome!
Deadline for food articles is January 5.
