Capp street Encounter

"Driving home from a music club..."

Capp Street Encounter

Driving home from a music club, I stop at a stop sign
a few blocks away and immediately an attractive woman
around 21 motions for me to roll down my window.
And as soon as I do, she quickly comes up to within
a few feet of my car.

“For you it’ll be the special rate,” she says to me,
“cause it’s late and business is slow!”

Thinking that her spiel is pretty original, I respond,
“You mean it’s kinda like drinks are half price between
3 and 4
‘cause there just aren’t a lot of customers
at this time of the day!”

“Yeh, something like that!” she replies with toothy smile.

“Well, if I weren’t happily married, and if I weren’t too old
and too tired to do it, I’d accept your offer!” I tell her with
my own smile, and then, feeling a bit sad that a seemingly
nice woman is even out here doing it with strange men—
never really knowing how things will turn out— I say,
“Good luck! And please be careful!” before heading
on my way.
