Terms and Conditions Apply

"...there is a cost to both and a value..."

Terms and Conditions Apply

I

This is an offering, not an offer;
the difference may be slight but it is
not negligible.

Both demand something though not the same thing—
there is a cost to both and a value
(which may or may not be the same amount)—

but only one has a price even if
said price rarely takes into account the
item’s provenance.

II

All art requires a sacrificial act:
bleeding, burning, suffocating, stoning,
drowning, impaling or writing things down

that were never meant to be written down.
Nothing worth anything comes easy or
at least not without

a catch.
