Haiku

"...the pigeons flutter their wings..."

Haiku

1.

your low voice drifts in
the night slips like a silk cloak
hiding in the grass

2.

stretching the old truth
evening melts in your coffee
birds' tweet in silence

3.

in your palm
all your promises
lay like toys

4.

open the window
the pigeons flutter their wings
crooning like film songs

5.

on your writing desk
the diary pages flapping
lies, lies and more lies

6.

sarcasm
dripping from
her rosy lips

7.

tail winds
echo
your dulcet voice

8.

edges of night ...
half-moon
knocking out the stars
