A younger writer asked me:

"Dude, do you think using drugs would improve my writing?"

"Well to improve it, your work would have to be worth reading in the first place."

I quickly replied.

The kid just looked at me like I was a complete asshole.
But as long as he left me to my drink, was all that truly mattered to me.

No, I do not believe drugs can improve anyone's writing.
But after that "said person's" last submission.

I do believe I will have to start drinking more just to keep a straight face in my replies to young hopefuls.
