Contests: SPS Poetry Cards, Ghost Stories

Good at expressing emotion? Try your hand at writing a poetic greeting card for SPS Studios. In house contests continue to run.

SPS Studios Poetry Card Contest

Open to any writer, this contest is seeking entries appropriate to be published on greeting cards (Blue Mountain Arts). Poems can be rhyming or not, although they find that "non-rhyming poetry reads better." Furthermore, they suggest that people "write about real emotions and feelings and that you have some special person or occasion in mind as you write." Poems are judged by originality and uniqueness.

Deadline is December 31. You may enter as often as you wish, and there is no entry fee. Prizes are:

First Prize: $300
Second Prize: $150
Third Prize: $50

Go to www.sps.com for more information and to enter via an online entry form.
